Congratulations to our LHS Marching Band, The Pride of Lafayette on once again being named All-Superior at the MSHAA Marching Evaluations in Grenada today.
Way to be Anchored to Excellence.

LMS-A Huge Thank You!
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hunter's Hollow and Oxford T-shirt Company for their generous donation of T-shirts for our staff! Your support helps us celebrate our school’s A-rating in style!
A big shoutout to Tony Deal at Deal's Auto for providing a delicious lunch today! Your kindness fuels our spirit and dedication to our students.
Together, we’re creating a wonderful community for our learners. Here’s to continued success!

Happy Custodian Appreciation Day!
Today, we celebrate the incredible dedication and hard work of our custodians who keep our schools clean, safe, and welcoming. Your commitment anchors us to excellence, ensuring our students thrive in a positive environment. Thank you for all that you do—your impact is truly priceless!

REMINDER
Lafayette County School will observe a week-long fall break from October 7-11.
This Friday, October 4th, is a teacher professional development day and students will not have school.

Thanks to LUES PTO and SnoBiz for helping us celebrate our amazing students last week who earned perfect scores on their State MAAP tests! 🎉 We are so proud of their hard work and dedication. The celebration continued last Friday as we recognized more students who showed growth or scored Level 4 or 5 at the end of last school year. Let’s keep up the momentum as students take their First 9 weeks' Benchmarks this week! #AnchoredToExcellence

HOMECOMING WEATHER UPDATE
Thursday's homecoming parade and powder puff game are still on schedule to begin at 5:30 pm.
Friday's homecoming will now be indoors to adjust for the inclement weather. See the graphic below.

APPLE HUNT!
Exciting times in Ms. Fletcher and Mrs. Rawson's Pre-K class! Last week, our little learners dove into the world of apples while practicing their picture and name recognition skills. They had a fantastic apple hunt, where they not only explored but also practiced saying their friends' names!

Best of luck to our swim and volleyball teams on the road today!

We want to send out a big thank you to some of our local scouts for serving during car rider line this morning at LES.

Let’s help students build a habit of good attendance early & often! #BePresentBePowerful

How will they remember you? For the Jolly Ranchers, of course!
LMS cheerleaders jumped in to help with the LUES car rider line and spotted Mr. Franklin—instantly recalling their LUES days and his famous Jolly Rancher treats. Naturally, he had some to share!

ATTENTION SENIORS!
This is a reminder that your cap & gown orders are due this WEDNESDAY, 9/25/24.

We are monitoring the rain in the forecast for this week, and its effect on our Homecoming activities.
Stay tuned for more information as we make decisions for Thursday and Friday festivities.

Exciting day for Lafayette Cross Country at the Saltillo XC Invitational. Hazel Dawson, 7th grade, was 2nd overall in the 2 mile girls race, and the LMS boys team secured 3rd place as well as three runners in the Top 20.
