MARK-SET-GO!
AP Statistics students had one try to get as close to the finish line as possible without going over by determining pull-back length. The catch: The race distance was undisclosed until the actual race.
With twelve tries at various pull-back lengths, they measured how far their vehicle traveled each time, and then ran three different linear regressions on the data. Based on the scatterplots, coefficients of determination, and residual plots, they chose the best model to determine the needed pull-back length once the race distance was disclosed.
Three out of seven teams had extremely close finishes, but the winning team consisted of Sarah Osburg, Anna Cooper, and Addison Winburn.

Students in Ms. Smith's LMS LEAD2 classes have been busy learning dining etiquette. In this lesson, they focused on setting a table, ironing a tablecloth, folding napkins, and using table manners. Students also learned how to properly handle and cook the chicken as well as practicing the proper way to slice with utensils..

We walked about today and ran into some Little Commodores getting a little workout with Mrs. Raspo.
