HOBY State Leadership LHS Representative Olivia Mosley represented Lafayette High School at the Mississippi HOBY State Leadership Seminar held May 30–June 1, 2025, at Mississippi College in Clinton. Each school across the state selected one standout sophomore, and Olivia was chosen for her character, leadership, and potential. Honoring Excellence in Education We are incredibly proud to share that three of our educators from Lafayette Elementary School were recently recognized by the Chicksa District of the Natchez Trace Council of the Boy Scouts of America for their dedication and service. Mrs. Kelley Hunter and Mr. Brady Cairns were each awarded the Albert K. Fretwell Award, which honors educators who exemplify the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law in the classroom. Mrs. Misty Wright received the District Award of Merit—the highest honor a Scouting District can bestow—for her exceptional contributions to the success and development of youth in our community. As Johnny Price, Chicksa District Awards Chairman, shared: “We are very proud to honor three deserving educators from Lafayette Elementary School.” Congratulations to Mrs. Hunter, Mr. Cairns, and Mrs. Wright for their commitment to shaping young lives.
