This department is a federal program administered by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Mississippi Department of Education Office of Child Nutrition, and the Lafayette County School Board. Some children pay the full advertised price while others may qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Please ensure you complete the application for free or reduced lunches for your child, regardless of your initial assessment of eligibility. Your submission plays a crucial role in determining the federal funding allocated to the Lafayette County School District.

Earlier today, Lafayette High School received a bomb threat from a phone call to the school. Emergency protocols were immediately put in place to authenticate the danger. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department is on campus to assist with the safety of all students. The threat has been determined not to be credible, and the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department will remain on campus for the remainder of the day with normal school operations.
