Holiday Cheer Across Our Schools
LHS Choir spread holiday cheer by caroling through our elementary schools, while the LHS Band percussion group welcomed students with festive rhythms. We’re proud of our students for sharing their talents and brightening the season!
SPECIAL EDUCATION DAY
Today, we celebrate Special Education Day and thank our dedicated faculty who empower Commodores with diverse learning needs. We’re grateful for our educators and staff who make a difference every day!
LCSD will be closed from November 24 through November 28 for the Thanksgiving Break Holiday. Classes will resume on Monday, December 1.

Support the Lafayette Theatre Department at their Fall Festival production of "YLGR" next Friday, November 7th! All proceeds help to offset travel costs and their Spring musical, "Mean Girls."

Our Lafayette Cheer and Dance teams made history this weekend as they competed together in the Spirit Program division.
Results:

Last week, LMS and LHS kicked off the year with a Wildcard edition, showing off college gear and school spirit. This tradition helps our students see that college, career schools, and other post-secondary paths are within reach and worth celebrating!
Ms. Stephen’s Physical Science students explored the states of matter with a hands-on experiment. By combining baking soda and vinegar, they created carbon dioxide gas that inflated balloons, bringing science to life!
LHS has been named a National Beta School of Merit for 2024–2025, recognizing its dedication and commitment to academic excellence. Congratulations, LHS, on continuing to stay Anchored to Excellence.
What an incredible night at Monday’s Open House for Lafayette Middle and High School! It was so good to see our hallways filled with Commodore students, families, and staff connecting and preparing for a brand-new school year.
