supplies 25

Oxford, MS - The Lafayette County School District, in continued partnership with the Lafayette County School Board, is proud to support our families once again through intentional financial planning and a commitment to student success.

For the 2025–2026 school year, Lafayette County elementary students in grades K–6 will not be required to bring general school supplies. Thanks to the district’s efficient budgeting practices, these supplies will be provided for all elementary students. As in previous years, students will still need personal items such as backpacks, water bottles, and lunch boxes.

In addition, the district will once again cover the majority of academic fees for students in grades 7–12. This includes tuition costs for Dual Credit community college courses, as well as 50 percent of the cost of Advanced Placement (AP) exams. This support does not cover fees for clubs, activities, devices, parking, membership dues, or additional Dual Credit costs like textbooks, lab fees, or registration.

This initiative continues to reflect the district’s ongoing commitment to removing barriers to learning, strengthening family partnerships, and aligning with the overall goals and mission of Lafayette County School District. While currently approved for the 2025–2026 school year, we hope to maintain and expand this support for years to come.

We remain grateful for the opportunity to serve our students and families and look forward to another successful school year.
