Mission Statement
The Lafayette Endowment Fund for Education (LEFE) is a nonprofit organization led by individuals dedicated to meeting the educational needs of the children of the Lafayette County School District . As a nonprofit organization LEFE accepts tax deductible contributions.
Through its Board of Directors LEFE seeks input from parents, teachers, and school administrators in determining the most effective application of funds raised.
Projects
LEFE solicits grant applications annually from the teachers in Lafayette County schools. In conjunction with school administrators, grant applications are reviewed to determine which projects best enhance the educational process. Final grant approvals are awarded by the LEFE Board of Directors.
The 2006 Awards were the largest ever and touched every level of our County's educational system.
Membership
Membership in LEFE is open to any individual, business, or foundation. Memberships are available at $20, $50, $75, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, and $2,500 per year.
