LAFAYETTE MIDDLE SCHOOL LAFAYETTE HIGH SCHOOL
Exam Guidelines For students in semester classes, a student may be exempt if the student has no out of school suspensions, an average of 90,  and no more than 10 (final) absences per class.

  1. Students will not be allowed take exams early.  If an exam is missed it will be made-up during the assigned time.  Teachers also have the option of offering a make-up exam during the afternoon of the days following missed exams.

  2. Although afternoon review sessions will be offered and lunch will be served during exam week, students may check out after 11:15 a.m. each day or after their final exam of the day. For those leaving after one exam, checkouts will begin at 9:25. Students who are arriving at school to take the second exam of the day should not be on campus until 9:30.

  3. The student must be signed out by someone on his/her checkout list. Photo ID required. Changes to the checkout list must be made in person by parent or guardian. Changes will not be accepted after Friday, December 8.

  4. The office will not interrupt exam periods to call students for check-out. Students who can not be at school for the duration of an exam period should make arrangements to take a make-up exam. Students will not be admitted late to an exam.

  5. Students who miss an exam for sickness must provide a doctor’s note for an exam make-up assignment.  

  6. If a student checks out of school during exam week, the student must not return to the school campus on that day.


 


Exam Guidelines


  1. Students may not take exams early.  If an exam is missed it will be made-up on Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning or upon our return to school from the Christmas and New Year’s Holiday Break.  Teachers also have the option of offering a make-up exam during the afternoon of the days following missed exams.

  2. Although afternoon review sessions will be offered and lunch will be served during exam week, students may check out after 12:00 p.m. each day unless they are exempt from a semester course exam during the second exam period on any day.  In this case the student may check out at 9:50.  If a student is exempt from a semester course exam during the first exam period on any day, the student may still be at the school during that period or the student is free to check-in at 9:50.  Teachers: Please send an email to Mrs. Adams with a lunch count at the beginning of the first exam period each day so that the cafeteria can plan accordingly.  

  3. Students may bring a note from their parent and sign-out with their last exam teacher.  The note must have the following information included:  student name, time student may leave campus, parent contact numbers and parent signature

  4. Students must bring a new note each day for their last exam teacher.

  5. If a student does not have a note, the student will not be allowed to check-out.  Someone on the student’s contact information will have to come to the school and sign the student out of school.
